Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti Biopic Hits Cinemas May 17

‘Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti,’ produced by Bolanle Austen Peters, is scheduled for nationwide cinema release on May 17, 2024.

The movie was previously screened last year from September 8 to September 14 at the Silverbird Cinema in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The biopic movie tells the story of Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, the mother of Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, who, along with her husband, opposed injustice and founded the Abeokuta Women’s Union.

Featuring Joke Silva, Kehinde Bankole, Adunni Ade, Ibrahim Suleiman, Iremide Adeoye, and Iyimide Ayo-Olumoko, one can’t but expect an amazing movie

The movie Funmilayo Ransome Kuti celebrates a woman who was full of strength and passion.
