“I used to charge 5,000 Naira per beat.” – Flavour.

Looking back on his humble beginnings, Flavour has been producing outstanding music for over twenty years and remains one of the most relevant artists in the music industry.

During a recent interview on the In My Opinion Podcast, Flavour reflected on his journey to stardom. He mentioned that his first gig was with the rapper Mr. Raw.

Flavour shared that he began to learn music production and eventually started charging artists 5,000 Naira per beat.

Flavour credited Mr Raw, who was known as Nigga Raw at the time, for teaching him the skills needed to become an artist.
