Media personality Toke Makinwa recently held a special Thanksgiving Service to express her heartfelt gratitude to God for His unconditional love, mercy, and blessings throughout her life. This event served not just as a celebration but also as a reflection on her journey and the myriad challenges she has faced along the way.

During the service, Toke shared her inspiring career story with the attendees, shedding light on how her mother envisioned a future where she would become a lawyer, believing firmly in her exceptional communication skills. Toke reminisced about those early aspirations and the pressure that accompanied them.

She didn’t shy away from discussing her time in the banking industry, which she described as a particularly difficult period in her life. Each day felt like a nightmare, and she found herself increasingly disenchanted with the monotony and demands of the job. Her passion for communication and creativity stood in stark contrast to the corporate life she was leading.

Despite these challenges, Toke emphasized the importance of resilience and faith. She expressed her immense gratitude for finding her true calling in media and entertainment, stating, “I’m now living my dreams.” With a sense of fulfillment and joy, she thanked God for guiding her through the rough patches and for helping her emerge stronger on the other side.

The Thanksgiving Service attracted a host of notable personalities, making it a vibrant affair. Among the attendees were Iyabo Ojo, her daughter, Toyin Abraham, reality TV star BBNaija’s Erica, actor Daniel Etim Effiong, and many others.

The gathering served as a powerful reminder of the importance of gratitude, resilience, and the belief that, despite obstacles, one’s dreams can ultimately be realized.
