Nigerian travel content creator Alma Asinobi is gearing up for an ambitious journey to break the Guinness World Record for the “Fastest Time to Visit All Seven Continents.” Alma, who has already visited over 30 countries across five continents, will take off from Antarctica on March 15th, making her way to Australia and stepping foot on every continent in between. This challenge is just one of two world records she plans to pursue this month, as she shared in a heartfelt Instagram post.
With her Nigerian passport in hand, Alma aims to shed light on the issue of passport privilege and the challenges faced by citizens of low-mobility countries. Despite visa rejections and a long application process, she is pushing the boundaries to inspire others while addressing the often-overlooked barriers to global travel for Africans. Alma’s journey, which she is documenting with the hashtags #AlmaChasingContinents and #7in70, is a testament to determination and a call for more awareness on travel inequality.
