Steve Martin and Martin Short Celebrate First SAG Wins with Surprise from Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez made her Only Murders in the Building co-stars, Steve Martin and Martin Short, feel extra special by surprising them with their SAG Awards on set. The show took home two awards during the 2025 SAG-AFTRA ceremony, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and a personal win for Steve Martin as Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series. This marked Martin’s first-ever SAG Award in his decades-long-acting career.

Gomez, along with fellow cast member Michael Cyril Creighton and co-creator John Hoffman, presented the awards to the two veteran actors while they were filming. Martin used the moment to give a heartfelt acceptance speech, expressing his deep gratitude. He later shared through his representative that being honored by his peers was an incredible compliment and a highlight of his career.
