A$AP Rocky, known for his boundary-pushing style in music and fashion, has officially taken on a new role as Ray-Ban’s first-ever creative director. Announced on February 21st, the 36-year-old rapper is set to bring his unique vision to the iconic eyewear brand, guiding creative projects and shaping Ray-Ban’s future. His work will span everything from designing exclusive eyewear to revamping store aesthetics, all with a modern twist that reflects his influence from music, fashion, and the arts.
Rocky’s first contribution as creative director will be the launch of Ray-Ban’s Blacked Out Collection, set to debut in April. The collection reimagines the brand’s classic Mega Icons, featuring bold “disruptive frames,” sleek gold-plated details, and ultra-black lenses. With this collaboration, Rocky aims to balance Ray-Ban’s classic appeal with a fresh, forward-thinking approach. “I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to evolve while staying true to its roots,” Rocky shared, expressing his excitement to shape the next chapter for the iconic brand.
