Burna Boy introduced live band into Afrobeats – Ruger.

Ruger has claimed that his colleague, Burna Boy, introduced live band performances into Afrobeats.

“Before Burna Boy started this live band trend, most Afrobeats acts would just go on stage with their DJs and bounce. Burna Boy makes live performances enjoyable,” Joeboy said in a conversation with Billboard alongside BNXN.

He mentioned that before Burna Boy started using live bands, the norm was to use DJs.

He confessed that despite others’ opinions, he is convinced that Burna Boy has made a great impact on Afrobeats.
