Falz, a Nigerian singer, rapper, and actor shared the reasons he studied law.

Folarin Falana, known as Falz, has disclosed why he chose to study law which is contrary to popular belief that his father pressured him.

He explained that he didn’t feel pressured by his father, Femi Falana, a renowned lawyer. Instead, he found inspiration in the praise and stories of people whose lives his father positively impacted.

In an interview, Falz mentioned that he felt motivated by the numerous testimonials from individuals who benefited from his father’s legal aid.

He said, “Everyone sort of had a story about how my dad came to their aid at some point in time and how he fought for them and was there for them. So then, I wasn’t pressured. I aspired to emulate what my father was doing”.

He also added that he practiced law briefly for almost two years before transitioning into music full-time in 2014 when his career began to take off.
