Funke Akindele revealed at D’Banj’s 20-year music industry anniversary dinner in Lagos on Saturday how he encouraged her to start the ‘Jenifa’ brand.

She mentioned that D’Banj played a significant role in bringing the brand to life by supporting her financially, which led her to fame.

She mentioned that Dbanj asked her why she would let the ‘Jenifa’ brand go just like that. He also added that it’s a brand that can feed her for a very long time and promised to support her.”
