I grew up very fast – Rema

Rema shares an important factor that has shaped his life and career.

During a recent interview with GRMDaily, Rema, a Nigerian artist revealed how the loss of his father and brother brought about a shift in his life, forcing him to grow up quickly and take on responsibilities at an early age.

Rema mentioned that the loss made him give up on his childhood earlier and he had to stand up for himself.

Although it was like a burden at first because he needed to provide for his family, it served as a propelling force towards navigating life.

The singer emphasized that he was forced to grow up too quickly and, as a result, was always surrounded by adults.

“God willing, everything happened well and happened fast. With fast fame came fast maturity and it’s like a never-ending level of seriousness” he said.
