I had uncles who traveled to flog me- Layi Wasabi

Layi was featured on the ’90s Baby’ podcast, and during the podcast, he recounted how one of his uncles traveled for more than two hours from Ibadan to Osogbo just to flog him for failing physics.

He mentioned that because he did quite well in art subjects, his mum was upset that he wasn’t taking school seriously and reported to one of his uncles who promised to pay a visit. The result of the visit was him being flogged.
