John Dumelo Wins Parliamentary Seat in Landmark Election

Renowned Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has emerged as the winner of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency election.

John Dumelo, who ran on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket, defeated incumbent Lydia Alhassan of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in a highly contested election.

With 40,561 votes, Dumelo secured a decisive win, surpassing Alhassan’s 27,377 votes.

This marks a significant turnaround from his narrow defeat in the 2020 elections.
