Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Receive Custom Nigerian Jerseys for Their Family.

Team Nigeria surprises the Sussex family with personalized jerseys during Vancouver visit.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, were warmly welcomed by Team Nigeria at a wheelchair basketball event in Vancouver on Sunday, February 9. According to People Magazine, the couple received custom jerseys, not just for themselves but also for their children, Archie and Lilibet. Nigerian team manager Derrick Cobbinah shared, “We did one for him and one for M and for the kids. They said they would be excited to have them. She was very, very excited.”

Meghan, who has Nigerian heritage, was especially thrilled with the gesture. The Duchess of Sussex, first revealed her Nigerian roots in October 2022 and has since explored her connection to the country further, including a visit with Prince Harry to Nigeria in May 2024.
