“My Daddy once got me arrested” – Davido

Nigerian megastar Davido shared that his father wasn’t initially supportive of his career.

“I don’t think he didn’t want me to do music, he just wanted me to be successful in whatever I did because he already had a blueprint for me,” Davido said during his interview on Business Untitled.

He mentioned how difficult it was to convince his dad to allow him to pursue music.

Davido shared the familiar story of how he left school in Atlanta and returned to Nigeria to pursue music without his father’s blessing, which later led to his business mogul dad getting him arrested.

He mentioned that now his father supports him wholeheartedly, listens to his music, and gives his honest feedback. Davido also mentioned that his father gave him the stage name Davido.
