History was made in the heart of Times Square as Tunde Onakoya officially broke the world record for the longest chess marathon clocking in an incredible 64 hours of nonstop play. He didn’t just beat the previous 61-hour record held by two Norwegians; he also outdid his own 60-hour record from 2024. But for Tunde, this isn’t just about staying awake or winning a title it’s about building something much bigger: a free school for homeless children in Nigeria.
With every move on the chessboard, Tunde plays for the dreamers the ones who dare to reach for more. “We did it again,” he said, emotionally, “this time we also helped the children find their place in the world.” Dressed in an outfit styled by @dejiandkola and wearing his signature Fìlà designed by @samotigba, Tunde showed the world that identity, heritage, and hope can come together for a higher cause.
This isn’t just a win for Tunde it’s a win for all dreamers. Discover the heart behind the 64-hour chess marathon now.
