Nigerian Women Shine at Forbes Women Africa Awards 2025

Nigerian women were in the spotlight at the 10th edition of the Forbes Women Africa Awards, held during the Forbes Women Africa Leading Women Summit in South Africa. Themed “To the Power of 10: The Rule-Breakers in Africa’s Next Chapter,” this year’s event celebrated women making significant strides in various industries across the continent. Among the honourees were Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, and Tiwa Savage, recognized with the Media Icon Award.

Other Nigerian winners included Nissi Ogulu, who was honoured with the Youth Icon Award, Hephzibah Akinwale, who received the Next Generation Award, and Eniola Shokunbi, awarded the Young Achiever Award. These inspiring women continue to break barriers and make lasting impacts in their respective fields, further demonstrating the power and influence of Nigerian women on the global stage.
