Zahara Jolie-Pitt takes a stand against period poverty with a moving speech

Angelina Jolie’s daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, made her mother proud during the Women In Training (WIT) mother-daughter brunch in Montgomery, Alabama. Zahara, a 20-year-old Spelman College student, delivered a powerful 15-minute speech on menstrual equity, receiving a standing ovation from the audience. The event, hosted by WIT, a nonprofit dedicated to providing menstrual, dental, and hygiene products to young women in need, highlighted Zahara’s commitment to ending period poverty.

Adeyela Bennett, president of WIT, praised Zahara for her humility and passion, noting the significant research she put into her speech. With Angelina Jolie proudly watching from the audience, Zahara’s impactful words shed light on the importance of menstrual equity and inspired attendees with her dedication to the cause.
