Zoe Saldaña has won her first-ever BAFTA, taking home the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the crime musical Emilia Pérez. During her acceptance speech, Saldaña charmed the audience by sharing a sweet moment, saying, “I was told not to cry by my children, so I’m going to try.” She went on to express her gratitude to BAFTA, saying, “This is so validating and a true honour,” reflecting on the challenges she faced with accents earlier in her career.
